CHAPTER 6 Human Physical Characteristics SIGMA OFFICE

CHAPTER 6. WHAT HUMAN PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS IS THE SCIENCE OF ERGONOMICS

The science of ergonomics examines the features that mainly concern the size and shape of the human body, as well as its strength, both statically as well as dynamically.

Information about body size, for example, is not just about height but also about details such as arm width or length of his fingers.

These are the elements of static anthropometry. Apart from these, there is also the so-called "dynamic", functional anthropometry that provides further useful information.

For example, information about the weight and shape of the body or the force that can be exerted on the body at different work postures and at different times.

This study provides the necessary data so that absolutely no harm is caused to the person who works a few or many hours.
